Race to Dubai two-time champion Lee Westwood will be accompanied by the great champions Danny Willett and Martin Kaymer as a strong international field has gathered at the first-ever Golf in Dubai championship presented by DP World.

Golf in Dubai Championship 2020 is a new event that will take place from 2-5 December 2020 at Fire course at the Jumeirah Golf Estates, in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It is a part of the double-header season-ending event DP World Tour Championship in Dubai, where the newest European number one will be crowned.

After winning the 25th European Tour title at the HSBC Champions in Abu Dhabi earlier this season, Westwood strives to win more glory in the United Arab Emirates. The Englishman is currently ranked fourth in the Dubai Race organized by Rolex, and his strong performance on the Fire Road may become Europes first for the third time after winning the championship in 2000 and 2009.

The two-time champion and 2010 Race to Dubai winner Kaymer wants to continue the career renaissance that he experienced this season at the double-header in Dubai. The German Ryder Cup star is in shape in the United Arab Emirates, with three wins in Abu Dhabi among his eleven European Tour titles.

Willett said: It is always a pleasure to participate in the Dubai competition. We thank everyone involved in adding this new event to the schedule. I won several championships in Dubai, so I took the opportunity to participate in another competition in Dubai.
