Today, the PGA of America announced that the KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship will be played with a limited number of viewers. The tournament will take place at Fields Ranch East, Frisco, TX • USA, from 25-28 to May 2023. The KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship 2023 is the most high-status and historic competition in senior golf. It allows approximately 8,000 spectators per day. This decision was made in consultation with the City of Tulsa, and under the guidance of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

In 1973 the championship was established at the invitation of one of the game's greatest players on the grounds of another golf major. The first Senior PGA Championship was held three years after the first Master's tournament at the Augusta National Golf Club at the suggestion of famous player Bobby Jones.

This championship was created to give PGA members 50 and over the opportunity to compete against their peers. It brings together the legends of the game and the new members of professional golf for seventy-two holes of stroke play.
