The 76th U.S. Women's Open Conducted by the USGA is the oldest LPGA Tour event of five major championships, such as the ANA Inspiration, Women's PGA Championship, Women's British Open, and The Evian Championship. The U.S. Women’s Open Championship will take place at the Pine Needles Lodge and Golf Club Southern Pines, NC from 2-5 June 2022. John Bodenhamer, senior managing director of the USGA Championship, said: "The world's interest in participating in the U.S. Women's Open is still very high and has contributed to a strong and competitive field."

In this competition world’s best golfers will participate, including last year's defending champion Lim Kim, Jeongeun Lee6, Ariya Jutanugarn, Sung Hyun Park, Brittany Lang, Gee Chun, Michelle Wie West, Inbee Park, Na Yeon Choi, So Yeon Ryu, and Eun-Hee Ji.
