In 2019 the Dow Great Lakes Bay Invitational was added to the LPGA Tour schedule. This year once again, 144 of the world's best golfers will play at  Midland Country Club in Michigan, from 27-30 June 2024. It's a team event, similar to the Zurich Classic of New Orleans on the PGA Tour, with alternating shots (foursome) in the first and third rounds and better ball (fourball) in the second and fourth rounds.

The tournament prize money increased to 2.3 million USD in 2020, and the first team will allocate 559,000 USD. This increase will bring the tournament the largest cash prize on the LPGA Tour for an event that is not part of the five majors or the CME Group Tour Championship.
