The PGA Tour golf tournament, the Tour Championship, will take place from August 29–September 1, 2024, at  East Lake Golf Club. Historically, it has been the last game of the PGA Tour season. Before 2007, the tournament field featured the top 30 money leaders from previous PGA Tour seasons.

It was the last of four FedEx Cup playoffs at the beginning of 2007. Eligibility is determined by the FedEx Cup points gathered during the season. Starting in 2019, the FedEx Cup has been reduced to three tournaments, and now the Tour Championship is held in late August instead of mid-September.

Many courses have hosted this event from 1987 to 1996. The event rotated between the Champions Golf Club in Houston and the East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta in 1997, East Lake has been the permanent home of the event since 2004.
