The Korn Ferry Tour will come to Lake Charles and the Golden Nugget in March 2022 after a long time. The Lake Charles Championship is one of 26 events on the 2022 Korn Ferry Tour schedule, which includes 4 countries and 18 states.

In August 2019, the Lake Charles Championship was announced their debut match in March. But due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the inaugural event was postponed until 2021 before hurricane damage to Laura and Delta delayed the event again.

The Lake Charles Championship 2022 will take place from 24-27 March 2022. In this tournament 156, professional golfers from around the world will come to Lake Charles to play for the prize money of $750,000.
