The LPGA Tour 2022 third edition Gainbridge Championship will take place at Boca Rio Golf Club in Boca Raton, Florida from 27-30 January 2022. After making his debut in Boca Rio in 2020, the event moved to Lake Nona Golf and Country Club in Orlando, Florida, in 2021 for the second edition. LPGA Hall of Fame member Annika Sorenstam participated in that week's competition-Lake Nona is her hometown golf course- after retiring from LPGA in 2008 this was her first official start event, Nelly Korda won the tournament in 2021. The 2022 Gainbridge LPGA  field includes120 players who will compete for prize money of $2 million.

Gainbridge's President and CEO Dan Towriss said we are happy to continue working with the LPGA Tour and return to the Boca Rio Golf Club to host the Gainbridge LPGA in 2022. Starting two years we have established the Gainbridge LPGA as a world-class tournament. We pride ourselves on supporting women's golf and providing a platform for the best women players in the game to showcase their talent in front of spectators around the world.

LPGA Chief Tournament Operations Officer Ricki Lasky said: We are happy to bring the LPGA Tour to Lake Nona Golf and Country Club. This is our second record-breaking event in the 2021 season. Lake Nona will be the best in the world and a challenging test for professional players. We are happy to demonstrate their capabilities in Orlando on the global stage in the coming February.

During the 2021 season, the Gainbridge LPGA is the second of five Florida events, along with the Diamond Resorts Tournament of Champions, the Drive On Championship at Golden Ocala, the Pelican Women’s Championship, and the CME Group Tour Championship. In 2020 Madelene Sagstrom became a first-time Rolex winner with a one-stroke win over Nasa Hataoka at the first Gainbridge LPGA at Boca Rio Golf Club in Boca Raton.
