The Austrian Alpine Open will take place from 28 to 31 May 2026 at the Golfclub Kitzbühel, announced by the European Tour. Last year the tournament was postponed due to the pandemic, and after a three-month gap, it returned to the European Tour in July 2020. The 2021 Austrian Golf Open goes into the date of the Tenerife Open at Golf Costa Adeje. After the postponement of the Portugal Masters on Friday, the Tenerife Open took place from 29 April to 2 May at Dom Pedro Victoria Golf Course in Vilamoura due to ongoing travel difficulties.

The 2026 tournament marks the 24th edition and the 11th time in a row it has been played at the Golfclub Kitzbuhel. John Catlin won the Austrian Open in 2021. John Catlin took the lead by one shot and won his first European Tour victory in six years.
